While each staff member serves a separate function, they share a common desire to meet the members' needs and make First Lutheran a welcoming place to worship.
Meet Keith Hohly, pastor Pastor Keith Hohly has served as pastor of First Lutheran Church since July 1, 1988. Prior to that he served for two years as associate pastor at First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He graduated from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio, in 1986. He received his undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Toledo in 1982. Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, he and his wife Debra have been married since 1980. Debra is secretary to the principal at Antioch Middle School in Overland Park. They have three grown children. Son Ben is a middle-school teacher in Atchison, Kansas. Daughter Bethany lives in Kansas City, Missouri, and is a teacher's aide at Shawnee Mission Northwest. Daughter Danielle is a fourth-year student at the University of Kansas. Dudley Hogue has been the Parish Assistant at First Lutheran Church for five years. Prior to that, Dudley was the Director of Music & Programs and Director of Music at First Lutheran for seven years. Born and raised in Kansas, Dudley graduated from the University of Kansas with an undergraduate degree in Theatre Education in 1980, and received a graduate degree from Baker University in 1994. Dudley has worked with many not-for-profit organizations, and continues to work and perform in the metropolitan area. Dudley is a member of the FLC Blue Notes and of the Heartland Men's Chorus. Dudley also owns DesignWorks, an event planning and floral business that provides services primarily to brides. Dudley and his partner of 27 years, John Carey, live in Prairie Village, Kansas. Kristen Fine has been the executive director of First Lutheran's Early Education Center since the summer of 2008. Prior to that, she was the program manager at Triality Tots in Pleasant Valley, Missouri, since 2006. From 2004 to 2006, she worked at Children's TLC, first as the referral coordinator and then as special instructor. After graduating college in 2003, she worked for a year at the Jewish Community Center CDC in Overland Park as a pre-Kindergarten co-teacher. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a BGS in Human Development and Family live. She and her husband, Carson, live in Prairie Village, Kansas. They have one child, son Colton, age 2. |
